TSM beat Muffin Lightning 2-0 at the Americas Minor, taking Cache, 16-6, and Mirage, 16-10. TSM will now move on to face Cloud9 for a spot at the main Major qualifier taking place in Atlanta later this month.

Muffin Lightning took the lead after the first round of Cache by winning the pistols on the terrorist side. After winning both anti-ecos, though TSM brought it back after winning several rounds in a row to tie it back up, 3-3. The half started to go sour for Muffin Lightning as all their efforts were shut down by TSM’s defenses. After a ten row losing streak, Muffin Lightning finally got the two last rounds to go into the half trailing 10-5.

The second half started with Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken and Skyler "⁠Relyks⁠" Weaver taking out all of their opposition on the pistol round, but two early five-seven kills by Ryan "⁠ichibaNNN⁠" Colucci on the anti-eco kept his team alive. TSM were quick to dispel Muffin Lightning’s hopes, though, shutting the half down and closing the map 16-6.

Muffin Lightning were once again able to take the first pistol round, this time on Mirage, thanks to a triple by Jack "⁠arKimonday⁠" Kastner with the USP. Again starting ahead, Samuel "⁠SileNt⁠" Portillo and company got past the anti-ecos and were able to link four together before TSM answered. It didn’t take long, though, as Kory "⁠SEMPHIS⁠" Friesen’s team quickly tied it up and then took the lead as the terrorists were easily winning opening duels and taking over sites.

With a 9-6 lead after the half, TSM were able to secure the pistol round. After winning two more rounds, their lead was extended to 12-6. Muffin Lightning were able to break through thanks to a great round by SileNt but got immediately reset economically on the following round. TSM then went on to take Mirage, 16-10.
